The Basking Shark Hall has been inaugurated in the Museum of Marine Biology "Pietro Parenzan". This provided opportunities to address subjects as plankton or filter feeding, which are usually disregarded in Marine Biology displays. A questionnaire has been administered to 537 visitors at different times: before the visit, immediately after, and after 3 months. The results highlighted a lack of previous information, the different learning behaviours of males and females, and a different receptivity according to age. The data obtained have been used in elaboratingstrategies for future didactic proposals in the Marine Biology Museum.

Abstract
The Basking Shark Hall has been inaugurated in the Museum of Marine Biology "Pietro Parenzan". This provided opportunities to address subjects as plankton or filter feeding, which are usually disregarded in Marine Biology displays. A questionnaire has been administered to 537 visitors at different times: before the visit, immediately after, and after 3 months. The results highlighted a lack of previous information, the different learning behaviours of males and females, and a different receptivity according to age. The data obtained have been used in elaboratingstrategies for future didactic proposals in the Marine Biology Museum.File in questo prodotto:
