During its evolution and its more recent history, the mankind has constantly tried to represent the world in several ways: before by signs and language, passing through the painting and the writing, and then, thanks to technology, to more and more sophisticated and different communication media. Recently, the considerable developments of digital technologies allow, representing the reality in extremely true way, also, through their multimedia nature, the use of different communication systems (such as sound and video data) for the realization of potentially shareable information. Abstract
In this note, will examine, in particular, the different digital systems of visualization of images through the so called "non emitting" devices, their principal characteristics, evolution and their possible future developments, trying to highlight the hard war of standards and technologies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
