From the '60s of the 20th century, manny scientists have launched the alarm on the necessity to adopt policies in order to safeguard and protect the freshwater, more and more threatened by the increasing use and by pollution of the human activities. In this note, we'll review the initiatives adopted by the most important international organizations (UN, EU, WWC, etc.) in order to preserve this precious resource.
