The paper presents some preliminary remarks on the loom weights found inside a Late Archaic house in the Achaean colony of Kaulonia. The analysis of weights has been realised by applying the new methods of investigation developed by the Centre for Textile Research in Copenhagen. It is probable that cloth of different dimensions was woven in the household based on necessity, with one main loom and two little looms for the production of narrow bands.
