Based on the latest research, Lectio Albertina 19 by Alessandra Beccarisi offers a comprehensive examination of the influence of Albertus Magnus on "speculative German mysticism" and on Meister Eckhart, 55 years after Bernard Geyer's article on the relationship between Albertus Magnus and Meister Eckhart. The work challenges consolidated interpretations while opening new possible perspectives for future research. On the one hand, it shows a certain distancing from Albert's metaphysics and epistemology in Meister Eckhart's work; on the other hand, it points to the centrality of Albert's natural philosophy as an effective instrument for Eckhart's homiletical activity in both Latin and German. Finally, Beccarisi's text opens up for the first time more broadly Albert's commentary on the Gospel of Matthew as an important source for the Dominican Eckhart's thought. Ausgehend von den neuesten Forschungsergebnissen bietet die Lectio Albertina 19 von Alessandra Beccarisi eine umfassende Untersuchung zum Einfluss des Albertus Magnus auf die "spekulative deutsche Mystik" und auf Meister Eckhart, 55 Jahre nach Bernard Geyers Artikel zum Verhältnis von Albertus Magnus und Meister Eckhart. Die Arbeit stellt konsolidierte Auslegungen in Frage und eröffnet gleichzeitig neue mögliche Perspektiven für die zukünftige Forschung. Sie zeigt zum einen im Werk Meister Eckharts eine gewisse Distanzierung von der Metaphysik und Erkenntnislehre Alberts, zum anderen verweist sie auf die Zentralität von Alberts Naturphilosophie als wirksames Instrument für die homiletische Tätigkeit Eckharts sowohl in lateinischer wie in deutscher Sprache. Schließlich eröffnet der Text Beccarisis zum ersten Mal breiter Alberts Kommentar zum Evangelium des Matthäus als wichtige Quelle für das Denken des Dominikaners Eckhart.
