Alla ricerca della memoria. Un caso di studio nella letteratura dei Greci del Salento: il Lamento per la grandinata del 1567

This paper, starting from the synthesis of an ethnographic investigation on the memory that the Greeks of Salento retain of the two major linguists who have dealt with the origins and evolution of the neo-Greek dialect of southern Apulia, highlights the need for a critic study of the orally transmitted literature collected and transcribed so far. In this regard, a study case is presented, the Lament fot the hailstorm of 1567, selected from the wide range of Greek literature of Salento; its parallels and literary sources are highlighted.
