The effects of physical activity on health promotion have been well demonstrated in the literature. The promotion of physical activity in formal and non-formal contexts is essential for the motor development of children. Educational interventions allow to explore the surrounding environment as mediating variable (cognitive, motor, social, etc. ...). Scientific research highlights that during the developmental age physical activity can enhance children’s cognitive domains, in terms of executive functions and academic achievement. The present study aims to provide recent scientific evidence about the relation between motor experience and cognitive functions in children.

Abstract
The effects of physical activity on health promotion have been well demonstrated in the literature. The promotion of physical activity in formal and non-formal contexts is essential for the motor development of children. Educational interventions allow to explore the surrounding environment as mediating variable (cognitive, motor, social, etc. ...). Scientific research highlights that during the developmental age physical activity can enhance children’s cognitive domains, in terms of executive functions and academic achievement. The present study aims to provide recent scientific evidence about the relation between motor experience and cognitive functions in children.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
