What is happening in today's Europe? By replacing nations with ethnic groups, i.e. by ethnicising nations, and by depowering state action through the construction of a new trans-state territory, a possible new territorial entity in fact leaves free action to social actors who do indeed intend the construction of order on the basis of the principle of sharing a common action, i.e. a project, but whose sole objective is the concretisation of the hyper-liberal economy: pure profit, in monetary terms. Any new territorial entity would be taken over not so much by the citizen and his sociality, but rather proposed and imposed by groups already solidly constituted on the basis of the principle of shared action, groups that are decidedly international and transnational. These groups today are the multinational corporations and transnational holdings: the same power groups that have their headquarters in the European Parliament.
