The present chapter aims to build a theoretical framework on the agile and remote working practices in the financial industry, amid the process of massive digital transformation and the accountability of sustainable development pillars that involved traditional banks and other financial institutions. The contribution outlines a theoretical framework on assessing skills and competences of workforce in light of the social obstacles introduced to counteract Covid-19 spread and the ongoing digitalization of the financial ecosystem together with the rise of FinTech. We focused on outlining best practices coming from the Italian experience, highlighting positive and negative aspects within the shift to a “New Normal” society.
