I limiti e oltre

The subject of “the limit and beyond” is ambiguous and even disturbing. In this essay are considered the main contributions in the dossier devoted to the topic from multiple perspectives. It is then proposed a relationship of right balance between limit and unlimited, which also concerns the relationship between the spheres of experience and knowledge that in modernity have formed into a statute of autonomy. Actually, the stronger dimensions, especially economics and technology, dominate the others. However, the root of every dominion and power can be identified in “death”, which is the basis of all forms of submission. Death abandons the limit to the logic of separation. Martin Heidegger and Emanuele Severino, for different reasons, fail to propose an adequate solution to the link between “Being” and “entities”.
