The analysis of near miss events in industrial companies has been widely recognized as an effective tool to improve the effectiveness of the safety management process at workplaces. The use of near miss management systems (NMSs) is mainly diffused in sectors with major accident hazards (e.g. chemical, nuclear, etc.), while it is slowly spreading in other sectors, like manufacturing and construction. One cause is the lack of resources, outlined especially in micro or small companies. losing an important source of knowledge about safety in industry. This work presents a web-based tool for supporting the adoption of NMSs, especially in SMEs the tool has two targets: from one side, it provides companies with a standardized method to collect and analyze near miss data. On the other side, the platform allows applying a monitoring system for near miss events based on data collected from different companies, with the possibility to elaborate specific analysis for different stakeholders (e.g. single companies, employers’ associations, national surveillance system, etc.).

Abstract
On the other side, the platform allows applying a monitoring system for near miss events based on data collected from different companies, with the possibility to elaborate specific analysis for different stakeholders (e.g. single companies, employers’ associations, national surveillance system, etc.).| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
