A common technique for preventing corrosion on metal surfaces is the application of a protective coating. In this study, the protective properties of two types of polymeric coatings applied on zamak specimens were investigated. Hybrid organic-inorganic protective coatings with non-functionalized (GC) and functionalized (FGC) graphene oxide, respectively, were employed. The powders used were characterized from a structural, morphological and spectroscopic point of view and the successful functionalization was demonstrated. The corrosion resistance of the coatings was evaluated through electrochemical measurements (LSV, PS, EIS) and salt spray. The results demonstrated that the coatings with FGC provide significant anticorrosive protection. Raman spectroscopy confirmed the protective efficacy of the FGC coating.

Abstract
Raman spectroscopy confirmed the protective efficacy of the FGC coating.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
