Household dietary management is often hindered by fragmented digital workflows, limited visibility into nutritional resources, weak links between dietary-aware meal planning and dietary execution, and insufficient support for reducing food waste while maintaining nutritionally adequate intake in everyday domestic settings. This paper presents a smart fridge system named Edible for integrated household dietary management, designed to connect nutritional resource management, structured dietary recipe support, dietary-aware meal planning, shopping assistance, nutrition tracking, waste awareness, and guided dietary execution within a single digital health platform. The system is implemented as a full-stack architecture comprising five components: (i) a Flutter mobile client, (ii) a modular NestJS backend, (iii) a Prisma-backed persistence layer, (iv) an offline first synchronization mechanism, and (v) a Flask AI microservice for structured dietary recipe generation. Edible combines two forms of dietary decision support: an explainable heuristic recommendation layer based on nutritional resource availability and expiry-based prioritization using user-provided expiration dates, and an AI-assisted generation layer that produces structured dietary recipes from the current nutritional resource state. The results demonstrate end-to-end integration of domestic food management workflows into a continuous dietary management pipeline, supported by software validation through static analysis, automated testing, and structured service contracts.
